Background Checks for Volunteers

Mount Hermon Baptist Church understands our responsibility to keep your children and youth safe when they are at our facility and participating in events at our church. With this in mind, MHBC is now requiring that all children and youth ministry volunteers complete a background check to be assigned their roles.

We have enlisted the help of Protect My Ministry to conduct these checks and manage the information submitted.

How will this work?

Volunteers, both veteran and new, will complete an online form that is then submitted to Protect My Ministry. The Children's Minister will receive an email that a form has been submitted but will receive no confidential information. Potential volunteers will then be required to complete an online video training to proceed. The Children's Minister will then follow-up with volunteers to let them know their assignments once the background check is completed and confirmed.
